TroyGould Client Acquired for $359 Million

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 23, 2017 — TroyGould announced today that its client, Spectrum Inc., a leader in bioprocess filtration, has been acquired by Repligen Corporation for $359 million. The combined companies will offer the market’s broadest range of hollow fiber and flat sheet filtration technologies for cell culture and purification. The deal includes $120 million in cash and 6,154,000 shares of stock in Waltham, Mass.-based Repligen.

The merger is expected to accelerate the growth of Replien’s filtration business, provide access to new customers, and greatly expand its commercial footprint, strengthening Repligen’s position as a leader in single-use and continuous manufacturing technologies for bioprocessing.
