TroyGould Announces Two Attorneys Included in 2023 Edition of The Best Lawyers in America® Third Consecutive Year
LOS ANGELES – (August 25, 2022) – TroyGould, a nationally recognized business and securities law firm, announced today that two of its attorneys were included in the 29th edition of The Best Lawyers in America,® the oldest and most respected peer-reviewed company in the legal profession. 2023 marks the third consecutive year that both attorneys Christopher R. Lilly and David L. Ficksman have been selected for this recognition. Mr. Ficksman also received a 2023 “Lawyer of the Year” designation by The Best Lawyers in America.
The 29th edition of The Best Lawyers in America recognizes only the top 5.3 percent of elite lawyers in the nation across 150 practice areas. More than 12 million evaluations were considered to identify this year’s exclusive group of Best Lawyers honorees.

Mr. Lilly is a trial lawyer with extensive experience in employment, securities and finance, and entertainment, as well as appellate matters. He is chair of the firm’s Recruiting Committee. Before joining TroyGould, he was an associate with Morrison & Foerster LLP, where he worked extensively on the defense of securities fraud and wage and hour class action cases.
Mr. Ficksman’s practice focuses on securities, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate finance. He also assists clients in preparing for and responding to investigations and litigation. He represents US and international clients in a wide variety of industries, including life sciences, gaming, aerospace, telecommunications, technology, publishing, environmental and financial services.
