CHRISTOPHER A. LILLY

Mr. Lilly has broad experience in contract, intellectual property, entertainment, real estate, employment, and collections litigation. He joined the firm in 2001 and became a member of the firm in 2006.

Mr. Lilly is chair of the firm's Recruiting Committee.

Defense Work

  • Represented local municipality in several election law litigation matters
  • Represented video game developer in arbitration over development fees
  • Represented high-end microphone manufacturer in multi-million dollar trade secrets dispute
  • Represented military equipment manufacturer in an action to invalidate the company's patents
  • Represented film editing company in Internet defamation case

Plaintiff's Work

  • Represented tree trimming company in several actions against local municipalities
  • Represented TV writer and showrunner in multi-million dollar dispute over bonuses
  • Represented maker of ATM-related devices and software in an action to enforce oral bridge loan agreement
  • Obtained writ of mandate from Court of Appeal, vacating trial court's denial of plaintiff's motion for summary judgment

Additionally, Mr. Lilly has delivered successful results in real estate disputes arising out of commercial and residential leases, unlawful detainer, landlord liability, and boundary disputes.

Previous Experience

Before joining TroyGould, Mr. Lilly was an associate with Perkins Coie LLP (2000-2001) and Morrison & Foerster LLP (1997-1999). Previously, he served as an extern to Hon. Harry Pregerson, United States Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit.
